Quality Assurance System

SLC Alimentos uses a Quality Assurance System aiming at the satisfaction of its clients, continuous improvement of its processes and products, compliance with laws that are relevant to the company businesses and, consequently, the achievement of excellent results.

In order to ensure food safety, the company applies the following Quality Programs:

- 5S Program: This program’s goal is to enhance aspects such as organization, cleaning and standardization for continuous improvement in order to achieve total quality of the company’s processes and products.

- Best Practices in Manufacturing: By establishing Best Practices in Manufacturing for SLC Alimentos, we want to add more quality to our products and ensure safety to customers by providing food with accurate physical-chemical and sensorial properties.

As part of the Quality Assurance System, the company has a large laboratory, qualified for trial and classification of grains, so that SLC Alimentos can ensure the high quality of its products. To enhance its commitment to quality, the company relies on official certificates, issued by competent bodies, which are accredited by the Ministry of Agriculture, Live Stock and Food Supply.

In the near future, SLC Alimentos expects to start applying the Hazard Analysis and Critical Control Point System (APPCC, Sistema de Análise de Perigos e Pontos Críticos de Controle) to improve quality assurance of its processes.

Consequently, the expected result is using international standards such as ISO 22000:2005 to continuously improve and update the Food Safety Assurance System at SLC Alimentos.
